The golf course has been laid out utilising the natural contours of the terrain and the indigenous water features, the greens and tees are all laid to USGA specifications, making it a truly enjoyable challenge. At 6,611 yards (par 71) from the back tees, this is a course that requires brains instead of brute strength to achieve a successful score.
In July 2004 Worsley Park hosted the European Challenge tour (the 4th largest golf event in England 2004) for the JJB Sports North West Challenge which along with high profile events such as the Professional Footballer's Association golf classic, the Ryan Giggs Testimonial Golf Day and also the inaugural Sir Alex Ferguson golf Classic, illustrates the course's growing reputation as one of the best golfing venues in the North of England. 18 holes.
